Hi,

sorry for the language, but my spanish is horrible :)

I´am using the HG556a with the r33456 firmware - how can I install for example the kmod-usb-serial-ftdi package?
I got error messages if I try to install external packages.

Thanks in advance

Saludos

You keep getting those error messages because the hash doesn't match the one in the repositories. Once the router is "officially" supported by Openwrt these errors won't appear again.

To ignore the errors you need to "--force-depends". However, this method ignores the dependencies, so you may have to install them one by one manually.
Código: [Seleccionar]
opkg install --force-depends kmod-usb-serial kmod-usb-serial-ftdi

Thanks Noltari!

After Installation the ftdi package won´t start. Is there another package missing?

Thanks in advance

I don't see any other missing dependences...
I'd suggest building openwrt by using the patches I provide or using my repo (https://github.com/Noltari/attitude_adjustment).
Sometimes the "--force-depends" feature doesn't work, so it's better to build your own openwrt firmware with the packages that you want.

Re: [Desarrollo] OpenWrt en Huawei HG556a

Hola.

CPU 0 Unable to handle kernel paging request at virtual address... blah blah blah

root@OpenWrt:/mnt/usb# lsusb
Bus 001 Device 001: ID 1d6b:0002 Linux Foundation 2.0 root hub
Bus 001 Device 002: ID 0424:2502 Standard Microsystems Corp.
Bus 002 Device 001: ID 1d6b:0001 Linux Foundation 1.1 root hub
Bus 001 Device 003: ID 08ca:2024 Aiptek International, Inc. Pocket DV3500
Bus 001 Device 004: ID 0204:6025 Chipsbank Microelectronics Co., Ltd CBM2080 Flash drive controller

http://wiki.openwrt.org/doc/howto/usb.video

Pos a recompilar.
Pregunta.

Unas veces funciona y ... otras no  ^-^
