ok, we are going to debug this.
boot up wifislax without the adapter connected
enter in konsole dmesg command
then plug the adapter
enter again dmesg and let us know if something change, It should appear betwen 5 or ten lines more different from the last output of dmesg.
If not, check the connector, probably is something wrong with the adapter. Does it work in another distro or operating system?
