Hola a todos,

Primero daros las gracias por el gran trabajo realizado dando soporte al router HG556 (ya soportado oficialmente gracias a vosotros) y el cual estoy disfrutando  ;D.

Ahora al lio, trasteando con un HG553 le instalé la versión trunk r35047 con tan mala suerte que el kernel se queda colgado en el arranque, os dejo un log de arranque, el error está abajo de todo:

Tengo el router conectado a la consola serie, pero el gran problema que tengo es que no puedo conectarme al bootloader, no es como la consola del HG556a que pulsas cualquier tecla al inicio y entras en el CLI del bootloader, este tarda unos 8 segundos sin hacer nada (problé en ese tiempo a pulsar teclas y no hace nada) y luego empieza el arranque.

Estuve leyendo por ahí algo del JTAG pero no me quedó nada claro ni como hacerme el cable ni como cargarle a este router un nuevo bootloader o una nueva imagen.

¿Alguna sugerencia o ayuda? No tengo problema en soldarle cables,  al HG556a le soldé un pinheader macho para conectarme por puerto serie  :D

Tengo el router conectado a la consola serie, pero el gran problema que tengo es que no puedo conectarme al bootloader, no es como la consola del HG556a que pulsas cualquier tecla al inicio y entras en el CLI del bootloader, este tarda unos 8 segundos sin hacer nada (problé en ese tiempo a pulsar teclas y no hace nada) y luego empieza el arranque.

Estuve leyendo por ahí algo del JTAG pero no me quedó nada claro ni como hacerme el cable ni como cargarle a este router un nuevo bootloader o una nueva imagen.

¿Alguna sugerencia o ayuda? No tengo problema en soldarle cables,  al HG556a le soldé un pinheader macho para conectarme por puerto serie  :D

¿Estás seguro de que TX/RX están bien conectados? Es muy raro que sólo puedas leer y no escribir, más aún cuando en el HG556a te funciona.

Si la imagen que has flasheado es squashfs puedes recuperarla con el modo failsafe (estoy un poco harto de repetir esto ya...).
Para entrar en failsafe enciende el router y presiona y suelta repetidas veces el botón de reset, hasta que el LED de Power parpadee rápidamente.
Una vez el LED parpadee puedes conectarte por telenet a 192.168.1.1.

Para borrar los datos de la partición de datos:

mtd erase -r rootfs_data
En este caso no quieres borrar ningún dato, quieres que mtd deje de quejarse forzando el borrado de la partición rootfs entera.

Gracias por tu rápida respuesta, probé lo que me dices y no hace nada, arranco el router y pulso repetidamente el botón de reset pero el led de power no llega a parpadear, se queda fijo como siempre. Se que la imagen era squashfs pero no entra en modo failsafe.

En el HG556a cuando lo conectas por consola serie si que da la opción de conectarte en modo failsafe, pero es en un momento del arranque más tardío que el kernel panic que me da el HG553, es justo después de montar el root fs.
En cuanto al cable serie se que funciona y está bien conectado porque con el firmware original entraba a la consola de administración por el puerto serie.

El problema es que con este router en concreto,no se si con todos los HG553, no da opción a entrar en el bootloader y no muestra ninguna información del bootloader al arrancar como en el HG556 que te muestra la version, el tipo de bootloader dirección ip y mac....etc, por eso creo que la única opción es intentarlo con el cable JTAG, pero no tengo ni idea de como hacerlo ni de que archivos tendría que flashear.

Ahora para poder actulizar con el nuevo firmware, deberemos entrar en el modo 'rescate' del router: lo apagamos, pinchamos el botón de reset y
encendemos el router manteniendo pulsado el botón durante 30 segundos.

Configuramos la ip de nuestra tarjeta de red dentro del rango 192.168.1.x (podemos usar la 192.168.1.2 en adelante) con máscara de red
255.255.0.0 (no es necesario configurar puerta de enlace ni nada más).
Abrimos nuestro navegador y tecleamos la ip 192.168.1.1

Menuda cara de gilixxxxas se me acaba de quedar. Había visto antes en alguno de tus foros esto que me indicas pero siempre había creido que era parte del firmware original, de la interface de configuración, creía que al flashear con una nueva rom esto desaparecía......ahora que me fijo pone Huawei Home Gateway CFE en el título...
