¿Es el último firmware que he colgado no?

A ver si puedo hablar tranquilamente con jogo y me comenta como solucionar de la forma más apropiada posible para que acepten el parche lo de la fallback SPROM.

Me alegro de que funcione, os aseguro que me ha llevado su tiempo conseguirlo ^^.

Enhorabuena a todos, en especial a Noltari, gracias por vuestro trabajo.
Gracias :D.

Las modificaciones las he hecho pensando en posibles placas nuevas que estén en la misma situación, por lo que partiendo de la base de mis parches es realmente sencillo adaptarlo.
Además, con el programa que he mencionado antes (https://github.com/Noltari/SPROM_Map) es realmente sencillo sacar las fallback sprom desde los archivos proporcionados por el GPL de Broadcom.

Con respecto al USB y al Wifi N, me temo que es cuestión de configuraciones del firmware (no controlo muy bien las del Wifi N xDDDD).

Prueba este firmware:

Aviso: puede que el Wifi no funcione si brcmsmac no tiene definido el 43225 (WLAN de este router).

Con respecto al USB y al Wifi N, me temo que es cuestión de configuraciones del firmware (no controlo muy bien las del Wifi N xDDDD).

No, SSB es para dispositivos con PCI. Para los dispositivos con PCIe se utiliza BCMA.

Edito: Me he dado cuenta de que no hay soporte para USB por BCMA en linux 3.3.
De hecho, para BRCM47XX hay un parche que lo habilita específicamente:

Este parche ya ha sido incorporado en las versiones más recientes de Linux, por lo que no veo la necesidad de molestarnos intentando adaptarlo para la versión actual ya que no creo que tarden mucho en actualizar openwrt a la última versión de Linux.

Eso sí, el rendimiento por wifi, es muchísimo menor al que consigo con el hg556a (atheros).
No se si será el driver .... ^-^

Por suerte, cuando actualizé, lo tenía configurado como cliente wifi (usando relayd), así que puedo acceder a él.
Quizás debería restaurar openwrt a los valores por defecto pero ... no me convence ... no tengo claro que me quede sin conexión al router ... así que probablemente le meta un firmware de los que funcionaban, vía wifi.

Con este firmware, el wifi no funciona de forma correcta.

Probado, el wifi funciona, pero me ha dejado sin ethernet ¿?
Por suerte, cuando actualizé, lo tenía configurado como cliente wifi (usando relayd), así que puedo acceder a él.
Quizás debería restaurar openwrt a los valores por defecto pero ... no me convence ... no tengo claro que me quede sin conexión al router ... así que probablemente le meta un firmware de los que funcionaban, vía wifi.

Las pruebas deberías hacerlas partiendo de una configuración nueva, dejando que el firmware borre la configuración. Sobre todo porque he cambiado el driver de brcsmac a wl y no llevan la misma configuración. En cuanto a lo del ethernet puede ser por el mismo motivo :$...

Probados ambos firmwares, borrando la configuración.

En este: openwrt-963281T_TEF-generic-squashfs-cfe_final_patches3.bin, sigue sin funcionar el wifi.
Eso sí, ya no aparece tampoco en LuCi (tenías razón, había quedado algún 'rastro' por ahí).

Con este sí, funciona el wifi, me da la impresión de que la velocidad de transferencia, ha mejorado un poco, pero por el contrario, he perdido la conexión (vía wifi) un par de veces. Tendré que probarlo más a fondo.

Probados ambos firmwares, borrando la configuración.

En este: openwrt-963281T_TEF-generic-squashfs-cfe_final_patches3.bin, sigue sin funcionar el wifi.
Eso sí, ya no aparece tampoco en LuCi (tenías razón, había quedado algún 'rastro' por ahí).

Con este sí, funciona el wifi, me da la impresión de que la velocidad de transferencia, ha mejorado un poco, pero por el contrario, he perdido la conexión (vía wifi) un par de veces. Tendré que probarlo más a fondo.

En concreto sigue sin aparecer ningún rastro de BCMA por ningún lado. Esto me lleva a pensar que después del backport de Hauke del BCMA/SSB tengo que añadir nuevos parámetros a la configuración de linux para que funcione.

Por eso he editado la configuración basada en la existente para BCM47xx y estoy generando un firmware nuevo que sí que debería funcionar. Lo siento por todas estas pruebas inútiles que os hayan hecho perder el tiempo :$...

Ahora queda probarlo y ver si hay diferencia de rendimiento  ;)
Queda claro entonces que no se puede usar el driver broadcom wl, puesto que la versión que hay en Openwrt es demasiado antigua para soportar el 43225.

Así pues quedan dos alternativas: Usar brcmsmac (la última versión lo incluye). O usar b43.

El problema de brcmsmac es que habéis comentado que su rendimiento no es adecuado y produce cortes.
El problema de b43 es que no soporta Wifi N (el wifi queda limitado a b/g).

No sé si hay alguna forma de actualizar el driver wl en openwrt, si alguien sabe algo al respecto, nos vendría bien algo de luz ;).
