para asegurarme repase las soldaduras y las limpié de lo que pudieran tener alrededor. La longitud de los cables es de 30cm aprox sacados de cables de audio de cdrom antiguos.

Recorta la longitud a la mitad, otra cosa no se me ocurre, aunque yo siempre trabajo a unos 25cm y va perfecto.

Justo estaba mirando todo... te confirmo que los 5 puntos se ven de izquierda a derecha como RX nc 3V3 GND TX donde nc es no conectado.

Los cables largos ocasionarian errores en la entrada y salida de caracteres pero debería verse algo inteligible ocasionalmente...

Revisa que la tierra tenga continuidad con el chásis del conector USB

Las líneas de RX y TX deben tener resistencia y no en corto con la tierra.

La configuración serial viene en el uboot tal cual:

RT3052 # printenv
bootcmd=tftp
bootdelay=5
baudrate=57600
ramargs=setenv bootargs root=/dev/ram rw
...

Podrías probar otro programa de terminal ?

PD: he soldado un chip DRAM extra de 32 MB pero la configuración de memoria está en el código fuente del uboot y no la reconoce. He solicitado el código bajo GPL tanto a Amper como a Alpha Networks y no dicen ni mú

He hecho varias pruebas, pero con todas lo que recibo son caracteres sin sentido. Lo que estoy pensando es que hice mal las soldaduras, voy sacarlo todo y hacerlo denuevo, pero indiquenme solo para estar absolutamente claro, por que lado de la placa sueldo los pin header.

Supongo tu router es clavado al de gmtii, asi pues mejor espera que el te lea y explique, yo de ti conectaria en los pines sin soldar con conectores especificos para ello y en caso de tener que soldar mejor en los pines, otro consejo es que cambies el cable que estas empleando por otro.

por ahí deben ir los tiros... si nos pones una foto de como quedó nos hacemos una idea.

da igual por que lado sueldes; los puntos RX y TX son fáciles de hacer con un soldador entre 15-25W y algo de malla desoldadora. El punto GND siempre es más complicado porque al estar en el plano de tierra el calor fluye muy fácilmente y cuesta conseguir que el estaño licúe. Yo con una dremel y una broca muy fina me hice el agujero aspirando las limaduras de estaño que sale y listo...

Lo dicho, una foto de cerca nos ayuda a ver cómo lo has hecho.

creo que ya encontre cual es mi problema, haciendo denuevo las soldaduras, me di cuenta que un cap lo había pasado a llevar y se desoldó, comprobe continuidad en los puntos de soldadura del cap y va conectado en paralelo a gnd y tx, es uno que esta justo al lado de gnd, creo que es eso lo que no me deja visualizar bien lo que envia el router. Ahora, si me pueden especificar que cap me sirve para reemplazarlo, le agradecería, ya que el anterior es dificil de reponer en la posicion qu estaba.

Ya logre comunicarme con el router, lo hice bootear por una firmware en la ram, le copie el firmware squashfs-sysupgradepor scp, pero al intentar con este comando "mtd -r write openwrt-ramips-rt305x-asl26555-squashfs-sysupgrade.bin linux" me da este error "could not open mtd device linux".

Por lo que estuve leyendo, como en la flash no hay una particion llamada linux, por eso me da error.
Este es lo que dice con "cat /proc/mtd"
