Buenos días;

He leido por ahi que podemos hacer multiwan, es decir unir dos redes conectadas a nuestro reouter. Por ejemplo una conexion wifi y otra lan unidas. Con unas reglas puedes usar una para unas conexiones y otra para otras. La pregunta es la siguiente:
- Se puede hacer bonding entre ambas para poder unir los anchos de banda y que los gestione el openwrt? De tal manera que si la interface wifi tiene una conexion de 10mb de internet y la vlan otra conexión de 10mb poder descargar a 20 mb.

En principio multiwan sí se puede hacer con openwrt y seguramente bonding también; lo complicado será ponerlo a andar, creo.

Hola a todos, soy nuevo y la verdad es que muchas cosas me suenan un poco a chino, solo os pido un poco de info y que no me mateis. He buscado pero no me ha quedado claro.

Tengo un router Huawey HG556a (concretamente HG56BZRB Ver.A) y me gustaria instalarle el OpenWrt y conectarle mi disco duro externo para dejarlo descargando. La cosa es que no me queda claro que version de OpenWRT deberia usar, si este firmware se adapta a lo que busco y sobre todo si podre seguir usando el router con total normalidad(Tanto por el wifi como por el telefono fijo).

Lo dicho, espero no molestar y que alguno me pueda echar un cable. Un saludo  :D

-OpenWRT hace todo lo que pides.
-Necesitarás una versión que incluya los paquetes que puedas necesitar (o te permita instalarlos), en función de lo que quieras hacer necesitarás un cliente torrent, soporte para ext o ntfs...
-Con OpenWRT no podras utilizarlo como router ADSL, necesitarás conectarlo a otro router que reciba la conexión a internet, la configuración del telefono fijo podría ser compleja aunque lo contectaras a otro. Es decir, necesitas otro router que reciba internet, o mantener el que tienes e instalar OpenWRT en un router diferente.

Buenas, ya había echado un ojo a ese hilo, de hecho hay en youtube algunos videos que muestran la configuración multiwan por luci. Con esto lo que puedo conseguir es navegar por una linea y descargar torrent por otra; o bien descargar torrent por ambas. Mi meta es conseguir hacer bonding para que ambas interfaces se "unan" como se de una se tratara, pero no hay mucha documentación al respecto. ¿Alguien puede arrojar algo de luz al asunto?

El driver para las rtl8187 en OpenWrt no soporta el modo AP. Quizás ocurra lo mismo con el rtl8192cu ...  ^-^

Has probado a hacerlo al revés ?.

Me refiero a usar en pincho usb como cliente y el wifi interno del router como AP.

Hola,

muchas gracias por tu respuesta.

Al final, estaba tan desesperado que saqué un pincho wifi que tenía en el cajón bastante antigüete... red b/g. Lo configuré ayer y funcionó todo a la primera  ;D, pero la velocidad de descarga ha bajado bastante. Hice un test de velocidad conectado al OpenWRT y otra conectado al router de Orange directamente y la verdad que cambia radicalmente de 3MB conectado a OpenWRT a 10MB conectado al router de Orange. (tengo  20MB contratados). Alguna idea de como lograr recuperar la velocidad o que se aproxime bastante?

El chipset ahora mismo no lo sé, pero en llegar a casa lo miro.

Lo tengo configurado como cliente, usando el wifi interno como AP. Si que lo probé al revés, pero parecía como que se quedaba sin internet el router y tenía que reiniciarlo. Con la versión que tengo ahora mismo (r38774) y de la forma que lo tengo ahora, parece que no se desconecta, algo es algo, pero si que he notado una bajada de velocidad en la navegación.

Me recomiendas otra versión de openWRT o con la que tengo me debe funcionar...

Lo dicho, en llegar a casa pongo el dmesg e intento sacar el chipset...

Buenas! me he agenciado uno de estos routers. Ahora mismo estaba usando como router "principal" en casa un AR5387un y veo que mas o menos en cuando a características técnicas son parecidos, pero este HG556 veo que tiene una CPU de doble nucleo (eso dice el wiki de openwrt). ¿Ese segundo núcleo sería usable, sería "positivo", o estaría "bloqueado"? Porque en nosecual router (uno de Astoria de Yacom o algo asi que hay en el foro) pone que tambien tiene 2 nucleos pero uno solo es para las llamadas de voz o algo asi...

Por lo demas veo que tiene 3 USBs en comparacion con solo 1 usb que tiene el que tengo de jazztel (aunque en este no se si el que tiene por arriba funcionaria, creo haber leido por aqui que no va, pero con tener 2 llegan hehe). Pero me tira para atrás el diseño! es horrible!  ;D  aparte me queda mejor el de jazztel por la forma y donde lo tengo colocado.

Dejo por aquí si alguien se anima a compartir para varios lo siguiente:
Compilación Full equip para usar como NAS, para copias, soporte para HFS+ en el kernel etc. Soporte también EXFAT

Utilidades como el que hay ahora con reaver airmon y soporte para wifis USB.

A ver si para la semana pruebo a configurar uno para gente que tiene internet de Yoigo.
Con los modem USB de yoigo + HG556a para dar internet.

El chipset ahora mismo no lo sé, pero en llegar a casa lo miro.

Lo tengo configurado como cliente, usando el wifi interno como AP. Si que lo probé al revés, pero parecía como que se quedaba sin internet el router y tenía que reiniciarlo. Con la versión que tengo ahora mismo (r38774) y de la forma que lo tengo ahora, parece que no se desconecta, algo es algo, pero si que he notado una bajada de velocidad en la navegación.

Me recomiendas otra versión de openWRT o con la que tengo me debe funcionar...

Lo dicho, en llegar a casa pongo el dmesg e intento sacar el chipset...

¿Existe alguna manera facil de distinguir si este router trae wifi atheros o no? De manera externa sin tener que abrirlo.
Me interesa conseguir uno como repetidor sin necesidad de enchufarle antenas wifi, pero comprarlo a ciegas parece una tombola.
