como he comentado anteriormente, parece que ahora solo puedo montar en ntfs, y me quedo con la duda si en otro formato puede rendir algo mas.
He probado a formatear el HDD en ext4, tanto desde una distribución live como desde el propio OpenWrt, y el resultado es el de siempre

The device '/dev/sda' doesn't seem to have a valid NTFS.
Maybe the wrong device is used? Or the whole disk instead of a
partition (e.g. /dev/sda, not /dev/sda1)? Or the other way around?

lo cierto es que no se me ocurre que puede ser lo que impide que reconozca el resto de sistemas de ficheros.
