when i try to update it just hangs halfway though and never complets dose anyone no why?

if you are on konsole de correct is

slapt-get --update

if you are on "gui" , interface ..  try  the update button..is woriking.


you have internet acces ?

is needed yo update the available package list.

i am useing gui not terminal when i try to update it gets stuck half way and i get error message and i do have internet acsess as i am useing forum strange you vido works fine mine not when i try terminal it just gives me help menu i dont no how to update in the terminal

on console you can try this

i just tried it on diffrent internet conection and if failed i changed back to origial wireless conection and after 10 mins it did finaly work thanks i have just marked all upgardes and failed on tryed it again failed and it worked on the last time strange

sometimes repositories are heavy and no send nothing.

but im sure , its worked.

 ;)


upgrade-packages are dangerous ... you can break system.

only is good idea to find some  libraries, games or other pacakes when not in system.

upgrade some packages can turn off some aplicactions.

im not use never "update-packages" ..only ..when some aplication say "need " , this library version.

ok thanks didnt no bad idear funy you should say that i done a upgrade the other day and lost everything all jumbeled up had to reinstall the lot
