Noticia alcance mundial wifislax 3.0 + ipw3945 + iwconfig wifi0

Bueno los codigos logicamente no son mios, pero os he preparado un modulito de los buenos para que useis en wifislax, y adios al coñazo de inyectar con las ipw3945

I downloaded their ipwraw driver from GIT repository and modified it adding wireless extensions.
With wireless extensions this driver can now accept iwconfig commands, and aircrack-ng can work with it like most of the other wireless cards. With this modified driver, kismet and mdk3 also work.
Every change I make to the driver in the future will be posted at the aircrack-ng forum here: http://tinyshell.be/aircrackng/forum/index.php?topic=1985.0

(ASPj modified some drivers for Ralink wireless cards, created mdk and some other utils)
When I have time, I'll try to add power setting via iwconfig, I'll package the firmware with the source code, and try to add power level reporting.
Hwagm, I don't know if the GPL license that comes with the driver allows you to distribute a binary file like you're doing, without the source code and the license. But that's your problem, and Intel's    Thanks for helping to spread the driver.

Esto no se podrá retocar para la 2200 (yo no voy hacerlo)...
ipw2200 is a different card, has a different firmware, and I'm not an Intel developer. I'm not even a programmer, I'm a chemical engineer!
And this is not a script. Like Hwagm said, it's a driver. But since you asked, yes I gave it a name: ipwraw-ng (it's ipwraw driver modified to work with aircrack-ng).

This driver can't be used to connect to the internet. It works with raw information only! It doesn't have the code to understand them and communicate with an access point. But for that purpose you have the driver ipw3945 or iwlwifi.
(iwlwifi is the one being actively developed, it uses the mac80211 stack).
By the way, ipwraw driver works with ieee80211 stack, it doesn't need mac80211.

You say you have an acer aspire 5600... It looks like you're right, that notebook has ipw3945 wireless card.
When you do iwconfig, the result shows a lot of information for eth1. It's not impossible that the interface created by the ipwraw driver is called eth1, but normally it is wifi0. Anyway, the normal ipwraw shows no wireless extensions, so that's not it. My modified ipwraw driver only has a few, I didn't put yet retry limit, encryption key, etc, so it's not my driver either!
Most probably you have a driver named ipw3945 loaded. If that one is loaded, ipwraw can't control the card because it's already being used. Do

If the result is "ipw3945" you have that driver loaded and you must unload it before trying to load ipwraw.

wenas, por fin e consegio instalar la version 3.0 con er problema en er arranke de "nopcmcia" y asin a entrao en el escritorio.....e exo lo q aki pone al principio el script ese....y ya me aparece rtap0 cosa q antes con la ipw3945 en la version 2.0 de slax no me salia......ara tngo otro gran problema....cuando ago el script se me activa rtap0 en modo monitor.....asta ahi bien....pero eske ahora con las otras no me deja aser nada de nada :S:S:S nose si eske soi un bulto.......er caso eske x mas q lo intento no lo consigo, lo q si q ma dejao flipao eske antes en la version 2.0 no cojia "pakete de datos" del wifi de mi vecino....y ahora si...mu lento mu lento pero si cojo y eso q no tiene ningun cliente.... arguien me puede ayudar y decirme q tngo q aser para q pueda utilizar arguna de las otras interfaces?? mxas gracias ya se q ti mas cerca de consegirlo xDDDDDDDDDD

Yo personalmente pienso ponerlos en futuras versiones del wifislax y del wifway y creo que estaras de acuerdo en eso.

Si les molesta a los de Intel, solo tienen que comunicarlo y se elemina la descarga, de todas formas wifiway & wifislax ya llevan drivers de ellos y no han dicho nada.

Ahora bien, igual estos si que les molesta, porque ellos quedan en evidencia, ya que 3 personas los han mejorado.

Yo facilito el modulo ipwraw.ko para que los demas lo tenga ya preparado, y el codigo base es publico, asi que no creo que se molesten............ pues simplemente se quita, pero creo yo que Intel debe estar agradecido a todos los analisis que se hacen de sus productos en este foro.

I've compressed the driver into a package, with this you just have to copy ipwraw-ng.lzm.bz2 to your home dir or something like that, rename to ipwraw-ng.lzm and then 'uselivemod ipwraw-ng.lzm'
After that, 'make install && load'
The package includes the firmware and patched driver, already compiled.

Me parece perfecto que colabores con los del Backtrack, pero acuerdate tambien de tus vecinos de al lado.

wenas....con este nuevo manual e consegio capturar bien...va todo perfecto e incluso me asosia a la primera cosa q antes no consegia....er caso eske lo e llegao a dejar asta 2 dias y no me pilla ni 1 ARP :S  e probado de todas las maneras......cambiando la rate....er archivo bssid.....todo todo todo y aun asin no sube ni 1 arp........por si sirve de argo no tngo nadie conectao...es decir es solo mi router y le ago A0 y....veo como la RQX cae a 0 e intenta subir y asta q no paro el A0 no sube a 90-100 e probao a moverme por diferente puntos....pa estar mas lejo mas cerca etc etc etc....y aun asin nada no me pilla ni 1 arp..... si alguien me pudiera ayudar y si es posible q me pudiera agregar ar msn para aserlo paso a paso y bien explicao porel.....lo agradeceria lo q no ahi en los escritos mxas gracias a todos.....un saludo

Y para qué narices haces un A0 si no hay clientes??  Dejando sin servicio a tu router con un A0 no conseguirás nada si no hay clientes.


Con el A1+A3 ten un poquito de paciencia hombre.  Si te da "association successfull" ya es un paso positivo.

el A0 sin clientes en mi caso es motivo de desesperacion xDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDD  lei porai q esto es cuestion de "probar y probar y probar.................." pos eso ago probar to lo q tngo.......pero aun asin........nada   dices q con A1 + A3 y con paciencia......bien pues e llegao a tener 400000 packet......asosiado perfectamente segun creo yo....380000 read en el A3 y ni 1 solo ARP en casi 2 meses q llvo......no e consegio sacar ni mi propia WEB deprimente uso una ipw3945 y uso wifislax 3.0 me leido y releido y mas q leido todo lo referente a la ipw3945 en este grandisimo foro......y nada....consigo datas a 1 por cada 10 min como maximo xDDD ago atake de fragmentacion y suben los packet a to carajo.......pero los datas ni se mueven.... ar fina la solucion sera un martillo y partir er puto route xDDDDDDDDDDD y ar carajo! xDDDD por favo ab si arguien me puee prestar unos minutitos de vuestro valioso time y q me exe una manita personalmente porfavor  mxas gracias por todo

uuuups, hadrianweb I thought it was you that asked, but it was unbAs...
But well, for anyone still confused, the thing that Hwagm announced here is a driver. It controls the wireless card, and with the modifications I made, now it works more similar to other wireless cards. With this, tools like aircrack now recognize and use our ipw3945 card.

Someone talked about airoway, but that's not the topic here. airoway is a script, and as far as I know is a modified version of airoscript (another script, made for more automated attacks on wireless networks).
Since with the driver Hwagm presented, the ipw3945 card behaves like the others (it now shows wireless extensions like ralink, atheros, realtek, etc), now the normal airoscript can be used...

If you want, I can put the updates here too! But if I forget to do it, I know you visit the aircrack-ng forum so no problem 

When I made the modifications to the driver I thought it could be useful to someone else, that's why I put it available for download. So if you like it and want to use it on wifislax/wifiway I'll be happy to see it included! 

I just noticed you were distributing the binary driver with nothing else. I think Intel really doesn't care, but I thought it was a good idea to remember you that their license supposedly doesn't allow it...
I don't know how much feedback Intel gets from these forums, they have their own... I sent my modifications to their mailing list, and someone (ian) replied:

This patch is huge (+1300 lines), hence I don't really expect this to be reviewed
and added. But I had some fun on this rainy Sunday to make ipwraw work with the
new ucode; I figured since
- it would avoid problems toggling two ucode files (eventhough renaming one in the
source code wouldn't be that big of a problem)
- fixes in future ucode releases would also help ipwraw
- if anybody want's to make it work for ipw4965, it would now be a bit easier
there might be somebody out there who would find this useful and hence i sent it
to this list.

So this is good news! 


**** Hwagm, I'm not collaborating with the Backtrack guys, even if I'm using their live CD and made a package to be used with it. The package is a SLAX lzm module, so I guess it might even work with Wifislax too!
I tried to do things according to the license, I mean the package has the binary firmware and driver but also includes the source code and license files. And I even sent an email telling developers at Intel of what I did and if it was ok with them...

And about not forgetting you spanish guys here... we were enemies at war, but that was centuries ago

Para samu:  Digo lo mismo que mi compañero Chimoc.

Para cerrar el tema (si quieres continualo en otro post), te diré que si has leido en este mismo subforo, habrás visto que algunos modelos de routers NO son vulnerables a los ataques SIN clientes.   No nos dices tu modelo de router ni si es nuevo o no lo es, pero debes tener claro que el router influye mucho.

Si tienes prisa para sacar la WEP de tu AP, lo mejor es que pongas otro PC a navegar por internet un rato, y listo.

Asi ya no te desesperarás .

MI nivel de ingles es cero y posiblemente entienda cosas que no son, asi que perdon por ello.

Respecto a la licencia, quizas si tenia que haberlo puesto, pero ni pense en ello, simplemente hice el ipwraw.ko para que fuese testado y asi ponerlo en la wifislax-3.1 que en estos momentos estoy acabando, y que ahora mismo lo voy a probar.

Si puedo asegurar que el modulo en wifislax-3.0 ha inyectado sinningun problema.

Respecto si este modulo permite la conexion o no, pues esto si es verdad que no lo tengo claro, es mas ni lo he probado porque lo que mas me importa es la auditoria wireless, se que lo has explicado pero como mi ingles es nulo pues no estoy seguro, lo que si estoy seguro es que permite la inyeccion y que ademas funciona perfecto para lo que yo quiero.

En wifislax-3.1 dentro de /usr/src/linux he puesto todo el paquete entero incluido la licencia.

creo enteder que el driver no permite la conexion a internet, verdad?

si es asi pues tampoco me importa, ya que wifislax se declina al tema de auditoria wireless.
 
Creo que en mas para arriba ya dices que no es posible la conexion, y que para eso esta el ipw3945 o iwlwifi, cierto?

y que tampoco  es necesario mac80211, aun asi lo he puesto en wifislax-3.1

tambien recuerdo en anteriores versiones del wifiway, que eran incompatible uno con otro, es decir que inicialmente se cargaba el iwlwifi y no el ipwraw, tengo que trabajar sobre eso y descriminar uno u otro.
