IPW3945 don`t detecting wifi0 inteface

Loading great but, i cant find any wifi inteface. Pls help (this is result of /opt/ipw3945/load)

Please can you put your iwconfig?
It's normal that the wifi0 and rtap0 haven't wireless extensions
This screen is on the load of wifiway at the begin?

some problem here  in iwconfig/ifconfig i have only the lo interface

cd /opt/ipw3945

./load (or i use the command that see in the .doc, "./load module etc..")

You don't have to use this command, the ipw will inicializated when you load wifiway...
If you do a iwconfig you see the wifi0 and the rtap0 interfaces and then use the tutorial on this section...

Are the interruptor of the card turn on??The ipw is detected by windows???

yes, is turned on, and work perfectly on windows, ubuntu, backtrack2.

the module seems to load correctly..no errors in dmesg and modinfo.

the strange thing is that "lspci" don't have an output and don't work the lan connection eth0 "modprobe e1000", seems that not see the pci interfaces...

In the boot of wifiway when wifiway is loading try to turn on and turn off the interruptor of the wireless, this solution was made froma  spaanish user and it works

Hi have same problem, start wifiway 0.6 live cd and dont reconition my ipw3945 wirless card

Message:

Could not find wifi0 interface

With a iwconfig you don't see the rtap0 and the wifi0?

load
Be secure that the target is on, and if nothing works, you will try to turn on and off the target several times in the boot of wifiway

For my not loading and not find any card!!! Have hp dv6000 notebook with ipw3945 wirless card.

on boot live cd wifiway 0.6  doent's reconition my card

have tested the command

and error message is

Waiting for /sys/class/net/wifi0/device/rtap_iface to appear.....time out.
could not find wifi0 interface

Hi everybody,

I would like to add that the problem is also with the HP DV9000 series.

The ouput of lspci, is nothing!

Nothing at all is returned from the command.  This is obviously the core of the problem.  I know others have mentioned that Ubuntu works with this laptop, and I can confirm this is correct.  I also have read that people have suggested to get the modules from Ubuntu and compile them for WiFiWay.  I would love to help everyone but my problem is my linux skills are unfotunately not that good, so I don't know how to make WiFiWay recognise and initialise the chipset so it can see the IPW3945 and even the built in LAN card, sound, etc. 

Can anybody please help us?

i dont sujest this because wifiway is other type of operated system.

better download the new wifiway 1.0

the hardware detection should be automatic, without human intervention, but some kind of hardware are not good for it.

I also have the same problem, even with Wifiway 1.0
the wireless card isn't detected at all.
Ubuntu detects as eth0 and it works fine.

If I boot Wifiway with 'acpi=off' both eth1 and eth2 are detected.
eth1 is, I am guessing, the wireless card but it says UNSPECIFIED.
and eth2 is for the Ethernet.

I use 'ifconfig eth1 up' but then the computer freezes when I click on install monitor mode drivers in the menu.
